Oil TKp – TKp transformer oil produced from low-sulfur, naphthenic oils by acid-base treatment. Ionol contains an additive. Pure transformer oil, free from water and other impurities, regardless of its chemical composition has a high dielectric strength sufficient for practice (more than 210 kV /cm), determined in flat copper electrodes with rounded edges, spaced 2.5 mm. Increase of dielectric strength with increasing temperature from 0 to 70 ° C is associated with the removal of moisture from the oil, its transition from the emulsion in a dissolved state and a decrease in oil viscosity.
Applications
Dissolved gases play an important role in the breakdown process. Even when the electric field intensity lower than the penetration, there is the formation of bubbles on the electrodes. With decreasing oil pressure for the non-degassed its strength decreases. However, in cases thoroughly degassed liquid breakdown voltage does not depend on the pressure.
