Description
Shell Omala S4 WE synthetic oils based on polyglycol with very good low-temperature characteristics, thermal and oxidation stability and friction reducing properties. Reduce friction and increase the efficiency of heavy-reducers. Are used primarily for lubrication of worm gear (pair of friction “bronze-steel”), as well as for the circulation lubrication systems of bearings (e.g., calenders of paper machines). Omala S4 WE should not be used for bronze alloys containing aluminum.
Application
Shell Omala S4 WE has an improved energy efficiency and reduces the operating temperatures in worm gears. The results of bench tests showed an improvement in the efficiency of the equipment by 15% as compared with mineral oils and up to 11% compared with lubricants based on synthetic hydrocarbons. These results have been confirmed by tests conducted by manufacturers of the equipment, and field trials.
Advantages
