Description
Vacuum oil VM-5 used as a working fluid in the high-vacuum vapor jet pumps that operate at a residual pressure of 1 • 10? 3 to 1 • 10? 7 mm Hg. v.
Applications
Vacuum oil VM-5 used as the working fluid in the high-vacuum steam-pumps (providing a low residual pressure in the vacuum system as compared with vacuum oil BM-1 and BM-1C), as well as, in some cases, in mechanical pump with an oil seal between mating parts.
Benefits
-
It improves the sealing of the working chambers;
Reduces power losses due to friction;
The optimum viscosity for each case;
sufficiently low vapor pressure (it depends on the volatility of oil and achievable degree of vacuum);
Environmental security;
High hydrolytic stability evacuated vapor and air;
Small gazorastvorimost.
