Wetting agent (auxiliary agent) OP-10 represents light Buttery liquid or paste. Wetting agents are nonionic surface-active compounds (surfactants). It is readily soluble in water, have a low odor and slightly alkaline reaction. Prepared wetting OP 7 and OP-10 by treatment with mono- and dialkylphenols ethylene oxide.
They are used as wetting and emulsifying surfactants in a variety of industrial processes. Wetting agents included in the formulations TMS and herbicides. They have been applied in the petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, textile and other industries. One advantage of the surfactants is that they are easily subjected to biological treatment in the wastewater.
